In school I was unlucky and suffered with bad skin, where I had to go to the doctors and be prescribed creams etc.

It does sting alot and smells really strong, but it does work wonders! If you are going on a night out then I would put it on the night before and the next day make sure you wash your face to get rid of the strong smell.
Also Sudocrem if you apply a thin layer all over your face or just where the spot is, before you go to bed. It does dry your skin out so make sure you do it before you fake tan and not after, wash it off and lightly exfoliate the dry skin and moisturize.
